Privacy

Your photo is processed in your browser and never uploaded. That is not a policy promise, it is how the tool is built: there is no server to upload it to. The analysis runs in JavaScript on your own device, reads the pixels, and discards them when you close the page.

You can check this rather than take it on trust. Open your browser's network tab, run the analysis, and watch: no request is made. The analyser source is at /assets/analyser.js and contains no `fetch`, no `XMLHttpRequest`, no `sendBeacon` and no `WebSocket` — you can search it.

What is collected

Your photo. Never uploaded, never stored, never sent anywhere. It exists in your browser's memory while you are on the page and is released when you leave. No copy is written to disk, to storage, or to any server.

Your result. The season, the palette and the measurements are produced and displayed on your device. They are not transmitted and not recorded.

No account. There is nothing to sign up for and no email is collected.

No cookies are set by this site.

The one third-party script

One third-party script runs on this site: DataFast, a cookieless analytics tool. It records that a page was viewed — the URL, the referring site, rough country, and a coarse device type. It does not set cookies, does not follow you across other websites, and does not build a profile.

It does not have access to your photo, the canvas the analysis runs on, or the result. Those never leave the page, so there is nothing for it to see.

If you would rather it did not run at all, a content blocker will stop it and the site will work exactly the same. Nothing here depends on it.

Nothing else loads from a third party. The fonts are served from this domain rather than from Google, specifically so that visiting a page here does not send your IP address to Google. That is the only reason; it costs more to host them ourselves.

Your rights

Under the GDPR the lawful basis for the analytics above is legitimate interest in understanding which pages are useful. No special category data is processed: your photo is never received, so it is never processed by anyone but you.

You have the right to access, correct or erase personal data held about you. Practically there is very little to act on, because almost nothing is collected — but if you want to ask, use the contact route on the about page.

Changes. If this ever stops being accurate, this page changes first. It is in the same repository as the site and is deployed with it.

Two things worth saying plainly

Two things worth stating plainly rather than burying.

The analysis is not medical, and it is not certain. It is a colour measurement from one photograph, and photographs lie about colour. The tool tells you when it is unsure and shows you what it measured, which most do not.

This site may add a paid report later. If it does, payment would be handled by a third-party processor and this page will say who, before it happens rather than after.
