Warm, medium-deep, and moderately muted. Every color here has earth in it. The common error is reaching for autumn colors at full brightness, which produces something closer to Bright Spring: a bright pumpkin instead of a rust, a clear teal instead of a muted one. The warmth is right and the clarity is not.
Your neutrals
Chocolate is your black, and it is not a compromise. True black against a warm, medium-deep coloring does the same thing it does to every warm season — it introduces a contrast the face has to compete with. Dark coffee and chocolate give you the anchor without the fight.
Ivory is your white. Pure white is the second most common mistake after black, and the fix costs nothing.
Khaki is the neutral that unlocks the wardrobe. It works as a base the way grey does for cool seasons, and almost nobody in this season owns enough of it.
Gold or silver?
Yellow gold, copper or bronze. This is the strongest gold season of the twelve, and silver is genuinely worth removing rather than working around.
What to avoid
Black — chocolate or dark coffee instead. This single swap improves more outfits than any other change available to you.
Pure white — ivory instead.
Icy pastels — cool and light at once, which strips the warmth out of the face.
Cool pink — reads as a color cast rather than a color. If you want pink, take it toward coral or terracotta.
Silver — the most visible mismatch in this season, and the easiest to fix.

How to tell if you're really True Autumn
True Autumn sits between Soft Autumn and Dark Autumn, and the split is not undertone — all three are warm — but chroma and depth.
Against Soft Autumn, take one hue at two strengths. Hold a muted olive next to a fuller one. If the fuller version looks rich and the muted version looks dusty, you are True Autumn. If the muted one looks harmonious and the fuller one looks slightly loud, you are Soft Autumn.
Against Dark Autumn, try camel again. True Autumn wears camel comfortably. Dark Autumn does not — it goes flat and the face drops back.
If gold looks obviously right and neither camel nor full-strength earth tones give you trouble, this is your season.
