True Spring is warm and clear at medium depth. Everything about this coloring is bright and slightly golden, and the single most useful thing to know is that grey — the default neutral of most wardrobes — is dead on you.

How to tell if you're really True Spring
True Spring sits between Light Spring and Bright Spring, all three warm. Value and chroma decide it.
Against Light Spring, test depth. If coral and turquoise at medium strength look right rather than heavy, you are True Spring.
Against Bright Spring, test the ceiling. Take a color to maximum saturation. Bright Spring stays comfortable there; True Spring starts to look slightly overpowered.
The reliable True Spring signal is grey. If grey consistently makes you look duller than warm brown or sand does — and most people never test this because grey is a default — you are almost certainly in this season.
